Rescue Partnerships
Lamar County Animal Services values the important role that animal rescue organizations play in supporting animal welfare and lifesaving efforts throughout Georgia.
Georgia-Licensed Animal Rescue Organizations do not incur adoption fees or pulling fees when accepting animals from our facility. Our goal is to remove barriers that may prevent animals from finding placement opportunities and to encourage strong partnerships with reputable rescue groups.
We are always seeking to build relationships with rescue organizations willing to assist with the placement of dogs and cats in our care. Every animal transferred to a rescue partner creates additional shelter capacity, allowing us to continue our mission of protecting public safety, serving our community, and providing care for animals in need.
