Human Resources is responsible for recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, training coordination, policy development, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. Our payroll function works diligently to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining the highest standards of accountability and transparency.

E‑Verify electronically compares information from an employee’s Form I‑9 with records from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
Employment with Lamar County is contingent upon verification of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States. All new hires will be required to complete a Form I‑9 and provide appropriate documentation as required by law. Participation in E‑Verify does not replace the Form I‑9 requirement.
