My Story
While I am a native to Barnesville, GA; I was born in Stuttgart, Germany while my father was stationed there serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. I am the paternal Grandson to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Catherin Fletcher and my Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Margaret Childs. I graduated from Lamar County High School and continued my education at American International University where I received my Associate's Degree in Business. I then went further and attended Georgia Southern where I got my Bachelor's Degree in Education with a focus in Technology. Then received my Masters at Liberty University in Curriculum & Instruction - Educational Technology. Finally, I graduated from Liberty University with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I currently work in the Lamar County School system where I have just started my 19th year! I started my career as an intervention specialist for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students and soon moved to the district office. Here are a few fun facts: I am the first African American that was hired on in the technology department, as well as the first African American to be the Director of Technology for the school system. I have faithfully attended West Mount Sinai Baptist Church where my family's attendance dates back for multiple generations. I have a loving wife by the name of NaToya, and two awesome kids named Neva and Brayden. To close, I leave you with my favorite quote: "Service for the citizens".
